How does the Bancontact Pro app user and device management work?
How can I allow my staff to receive Bancontact Pro payments without sharing my login details?
In the Bancontact Pro app or at app.bancontactpro.com, open the ‘Linked devices’ menu and select the permissions you wish to grant to the employee’s device (Manager or Employee). Share the link or have the QR code scanned to link the device.
Once the device has been successfully linked, a confirmation message will appear and it will be ready to accept payments. You can manage access via the ‘Linked devices’ menu.
What access does the employee have via the linked device?
You can choose this yourself in the ‘Linked devices’ menu. ‘Managers’ have full access to the Bancontact Pro app account, whilst ‘Employees’ have limited access to the account and can only receive payments via their device.
Can I revoke access for an employee’s device?
Yes, both you and the employee can revoke access or unlink the device at any time.
How long does my employee’s device remain logged in?
Your employee’s device is automatically logged out after 30 days of inactivity.
